A poor boy named Sam. Despite having very little, Sam had a heart full of kindness. He lived with his grandmother in a tiny, rundown cottage on the outskirts of the village.

The setting is a single-family house with a mom, a young boy Jake and dog Hipis. It’s a morning on a snowy day and it’s a beautiful sunrise. The mom has so much to do. The house is messy her son has made a mess with blocks, toys and trucks. She wants to enjoy the sunrise and walk out with her baby to watch it, but starts cleaning and getting everything ready around the house. She does not want to go out until she is finished, the dog is fed and it is all perfect around the house. She wants to be prepared for everything. Her and her boy missed the sunrise because of all the Cleaning. She tried to make everything perfect but in the end, it’s turned against her and they missed the beautiful moment. The next day, the same thing happens, but her son reminds her about the sunrise last minute and they both go out. The house is still messy, but they have a special moment together. It’s reminds them that not everything has to be perfect and that's perfect. They’re smiling together.

It was a crisp October day, I woke up to the other dogs whining as the shelter workers let us all out of our kennels. Yes! Freedom! I ran so fast to the playroom to play with my friends! Today was going to be a big day - I can feel it! I played for hours and hours, until I had to have a nap. After lunch I saw two humans walk in and sit on the floor. Everyone crowded around them, jumping on them. Get yourself together guys I thought. I quietly walked over and sat by the mans huge feet. I knew the drill, people visited us all the time and had a few cuddles. As I sat watching the commotion of Simba getting silly all over this ladies lap. I met eyes with the lady human, she immediately picked me up. My legs were dangling and I thought jeez lady I just had breakfast. I stared into her and she stared back, she said "its you, your the one." I said to myself ok lady, do you have food or a ball? The lady stood up and talked with a shelter worker, she came back and said "I'm going to be your new Mom" and I thought "Mom?." She said she would be back, she came back with a new collar and name tag with the name "Koda."

Today I'm going to the beach with my grandma, and I cannot wait! I know it's always an adventure when we spend the day together. After my mom and dad dropped me off at my grandma's this morning, we began to make a picnic lunch for our beach day. I love it when my grandma makes me lunches because she always fills the cooler with all my favorite foods. 1. It was July 4th and John Jr and Yuēhàn were excited about that evenings festivities. Yuēhàn was curious as to why there was a holiday, so John Jr went and did a little research. 2. John Jr found out about a very important document called the Declaration of Independence and explained to Yuēhàn a little history on it. John Jr explained that America was involved in a Revolutionary War. The Declaration of Independence is the founding document of the United States. On July 4, 1776, it was adopted unanimously by the 56 delegates to the Second Continental Congress, who convened at the Pennsylvania State House, later renamed Independence Hall, in the colonial era capital of Philadelphia. The Committee of Five, including John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Robert R. Livingston, and Roger Sherman, were the ones who had the most influential input into authoring the document. Thomas Jefferson actually wrote the original document the Second Continental Congress then did the editing. The signers of the Declaration of Independence are the nation's Founding Fathers. 3. John Jr explained how the Declaration explains to the world why the Thirteen Colonies regarded themselves as independent states no longer subject to British colonial rule. The Declaration justified the independence of the United States by listing 27 colonial grievances against King George III and by asserting certain natural and legal rights, including a right of revolution. 5. John Jr told Yuēhàn that The Declaration of Independence has proven an impactful statement on human rights, particularly its second sentence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 6.
