A parent helps them start the fire. “Be safe, boys!” they say. “Yummy! Let’s roast marshmallows!” says Tipene. They laugh as they cook. They sit by the fire. “Tell me a story!” Nikora asks. Tipene begins. The sky gets dark, and stars twinkle above. “Look at all the stars!” says Nikora. They lie on the grass, dreaming about the stars. “What do you see?” asks Tipene.

Mağaranın içinde güzel bir prenses vardı! "Hadi gel, sana da yemek yapayım!" dedi. Lior önce tereddüt etti ama sonra "Tavuk severim!" dedi ve sohbet etmeye başladılar. Prenses, "Ben Gizli Sığınak Peri Evi’nden geliyorum." dedi. Lior şaşırdı. "Ama çok uzaktasın!" dedi prenses. "Burada birkaç gün kalabilirsin, şatomuz var!" dedi. Lior sevindi. "Harika olur!" diyerek kabul etti. Prenses onu altın şatoya götürdü. Lior içeri girip koltukta uyuya kaldı. Akşam yemeğinde prenses onu uyandırdı. Beş gün boyunca şatoda kaldı, yeni şeyler keşfetti. Ama beş gün hızla geçti. Eve dönmesi gerekiyordu. Anne ve babası çok endişeliydi. "Neredeydin?" diye sordular. Lior, "Altın şatodaydım!" dedi. Anne ve babası hemen orman polisini aradı. "Orası tehlikeli bir yer!" dediler. Lior şaşırdı. Orman polisi, "Altın şato eski ve tehlikeli bir yer!" dedi. Lior orada kalmanın riskli olduğunu anladı. "Ama prenses çok iyiydi!" dedi. Annesi, "Bazen iyi gibi görünen şeyler tehlikeli olabilir!" dedi. Lior bundan sonra yabancılara daha dikkatli olacağına söz verdi. Okulun sıkıcı olmadığını düşündü. Arkadaşları vardı ve güvende hissediyordu. "Tek başıma kaybolmamalıyım!" diye düşündü. Artık ailesine haber vermeden uzaklaşmayacaktı. Macera güzeldi ama güvenli olmak daha önemliydi.

I run my hand over the lid. “Let’s decorate it. I want it to look just right.” Page 13-14 I draw a heart, and Mom helps me write “I love Dad.” Now our box is ready. Page 15-16 We look for Dad’s things. I find his football jersey and hold it close. “It smells like him.” Page 17-18 We find football tickets. I smile. “I remember that game—it was so fun!” Page 19-20 I find a shiny rock. Me and Dad found this on the beach. “It’s lucky.” Page 21-22 I put everything inside the box and close the lid. “Now I have a box of love.” Page 23-24 The next morning, I open the box. I take out Dad’s jersey and hold it tight. I feel connected to him. Page 25-26 Then I look at the rock and remember our trip to the beach. I smile. Mom hugs me. “Dad isn’t here, but love never leaves.” I close the box and hold it close. Dad will always be with me.
