As they walked, Grandpa smiled and said, “Do you know that everything around us is connected?” Tom looked around. “What do you mean, Grandpa?” Grandpa pointed to the sky. “Look at the air. We breathe it to stay alive, and so do the animals and plants!” Lily took a deep breath. “Wow! So air helps us all!” Grandpa nodded. “And water is just as important. It gives us something to drink, helps plants grow, and provides a home for fish and frogs!” Tom ran to a small pond and saw ducks swimming. “Water is amazing!” Next, Grandpa bent down and picked up a handful of soil. “Soil helps plants grow. They help nature too!
