She tried to cook the elf shoes in the oven but they just melted. She’d ran over the elf shoes with the car but they were flattened. She sent the elf shoes to Mars in a rocket ship but they didn’t come back. She left the elf shoes in the alley hoping a shoeless person would take the elf shoes but nobody took the elf shoes. After a few days she tried the elf shoes on again and this time, to Cheryl's surprise, they were perfect. She couldn't understand why the elf shoes started to feel better after a few days had passed but from that day forward she wore her elf shoes everywhere.

The steps in front of the village gate are cleverly designed as a defensive position, making it difficult for enemies to attack. The small holes and high platforms on the walls were used to monitor outside movements, ensuring the villagers' safety. Such intelligent architectural designs leave me in awe of my ancestors' wisdom. Passing through the ancient gate, I see orderly houses with winding paths paved with blue stones. Not far away, the grand ancestral hall—Song Ling Tang Gong Hall—showcases our family's long history. The exquisite wood carvings and murals inside the hall reflect our family’s glory and traditions. Beside the ancestral hall stands the Tin Hau Temple, with its red walls and yellow tiles radiating a sacred atmosphere. The ancient bronze bell inside tells of countless pious wishes, as if feeling the divine protection. The surrounding statues of the Earth God and the Goddess of Heaven further immerse me in the rich local beliefs. When I step into other walled villages like Dong Ge and Wing Ning, I can still sense the vigor of their long history. Although many walls are now damaged, I can still imagine the tense scenes of repelling pirates. The altars and other structures make me feel the sincere hopes of my ancestors for wealth and success. As I stroll through this culturally rich land, I can almost feel the footsteps of my ancestors and the vitality of this home. No matter where I go, my roots will always be here—in Lung Yeuk Tau.

1. Dolphin, Turtle, Clownfish, and Starfish were playing tag in the ocean. They were laughing and swimming happily. The sun was shining, and the water sparkled like diamonds. 2. While swimming, Dolphin suddenly stopped. “Look!” he said. “The ocean is full of trash!” The friends looked around and saw plastic bottles, bags, and old nets floating everywhere. The once-beautiful ocean was now dirty. 3. “This is terrible,” said Turtle. “We need to clean this up right away!” “I’ll help!” said Starfish. “Let’s all work together to make the ocean clean again.” Clownfish nodded. “Yes! Our home needs us.” The friends agreed to start cleaning up the trash immediately. 4. Just as they began, a baby whale swam over. “What’s going on?” the whale asked curiously. “We’re cleaning the ocean,” Dolphin explained. “Can I help?” the whale asked with a big smile. “I can use my tail to push the trash into a pile.” The friends were happy to have more help. 5. The team got to work. Dolphin grabbed plastic bottles with his fins. Turtle picked up plastic bags floating near the coral. Starfish collected smaller pieces of trash stuck on the ocean floor. Clownfish swam around carefully, making sure nothing was left behind. The baby whale used its strong tail to push the trash into one big pile. They all worked hard together! 6. After hours of teamwork, the ocean was finally clean again. The water became clear, and colorful fish swam happily among the healthy coral reefs. The friends looked around with pride. “We did it! Great job, everyone!” Dolphin said with a big smile. 7. A pufferfish swam over and said, “Thank you for cleaning the ocean! Now it’s safe and beautiful again.” “We’ll make sure it stays this way,” said Turtle.
