Our memory and our brain are amazing! However, it does not record our lives like a book! You cannot go back to a previous chapter to retrieve memories accurately. Attention issues, prior knowledge, and memory decay all interfere with the actual memories that are stored. There are so many different parts to our memory that all work separately and together to help us experience and remember life. Your task is to create a children's book about manny the monkey that creates a story highlighting KEY concepts for each aspect of memory: Encoding, Storage, & Retrieval. Your book should be like a “cliff notes” of memory and should walk me through these processes in an easy to understand manner. Last year, I went to Hokkaido in Japan. It was really fun there! In Sapporo, there were tall buildings and old houses. I went to a big park. There were a lot of pretty flowers in it. Later, I went to see the sea and the mountains. I saw many lovely little animals. I also ate delicious seafood. It tasted really great. Hokkaido is so interesting. I want to go there again in the future!

Lily loved to play. She loved to jump rope, swing high on the swings, and bounce her ball. One thing Lily did not like to do was run. "It's boring!" she'd groan whenever her mom suggested a jog in the park. "I'd rather stay home and read." One sunny afternoon, Lily was playing in her room. Her favorite pair of bright pink sneakers sat by the door just waiting to be worn. Suddenly, with a mischievous glint in their eyes, the sneakers hopped off the floor and skipped towards the window! Lily gasped. "My shoes! Stop!" she cried, but the sneakers were already out the window and were bouncing down the street. Lily raced after them, her heart pounding. She chased them down the sidewalk and around the corner until she was out of breath. "Come back!" she yelled, her voice echoing through the neighborhood. The sneakers, however, were having the time of their lives. They bounced past beautiful flower gardens, dodged around playful puppies, and they even slid down a hill. Lily, huffing and puffing, finally caught up to her runaway shoes. She scooped them up, feeling a strange tingling sensation in her legs. "You silly shoes! You can’t just run away! I don’t like to run and you made me chase you. You made me feel SO tired!" she said. Her mom, who had been watching from the window, chuckled. "Looks like you're having fun. Can I join you?” she asked. Lily, surprised by how much fun she was having running, decided to keep going and said “yes, let’s go”.

In this story a cute little black girl with a lot of hair was just sitting in her room bored playing with her stuffed aniamls and then she decided to go outside and bring her stuffed Squirrel and he came to life and when on a quest to find a treasure with a map they found in the forest and on their journey they found a wallet with a lot of money in it and they are tempted to steal it to buy supplies for their adventure so they're stuck deciding what they should do with it and end up returning it to its owner which was a wise owl and appreciates them so much he ends up buying their tools and giving them more clues on how to get to the tressaure and when they get there it happens to be a box of wisdom and knowledge and they learned a valuable lesson of why you should do the right thing and then all of a sudden she wakes up and finds out it was just a dream
