One morning, Lina’s parents took her to the market. In the center of the square, they stopped in front of a big red dragon statue. The dragon sparkled in the sunlight, and Lina was curious.“What’s this, Papa?” she asked. “It’s part of the Lunar New Year celebration,” father said. “It’s a special time to welcome the new year with family, food, and traditions. Oh! We almost forgot—it’s tomorrow!”Lina wondered what it would be like to celebrate Lunar New Year. The next day, Lina was playing outside when her friend Tian ran up to her. “Lina! Would you like to celebrate the Lunar New Year with us tonight? It’s going to be fun, with lots of food and a dragon dance! ”Lina’s eyes lit up. “I’d love to! But I don’t know much about it.” “That’s okay,” Tian said. “I’ll tell you! It’s about family, and showing kindness to others.” That evening, Lina and her parents went to Tian’s house. Red lanterns hung everywhere, and the table was full of delicious food “Red brings good luck,” Tian explained. “That’s why there’s so much red during Lunar New Year!” After dinner, Lina watched the dragon dance. Everyone cheered. At the end of the night, Tian gave Lina a small red envelope. “What’s inside?” Lina asked. “Open it tomorrow,” Tian said. “It’s for good luck!” The next morning, Lina opened the envelope and found a shiny coin inside. She thought about the celebration and how kind Tian had been to invite her. Lina smiled and promised to share kindness in the new year. After dinner, Lina watched the dragon dance. Mud flew everywhere! “Look at us!” Gus laughed. “We’re muddy buddies!” Just then, a little dog named Pup came over. He tilted his head and barked, “Woof! What are you doing?” “We’re having a muddy fun time!” Bud said, splashing more mud. Pup wagged his tail. “I want to join!” Gus and Bud laughed. “Okay, Pup! Jump in!” Pup jumped right into the puddle, sending mud flying. They all rolled and played until they were covered in mud from head to toe. After a while, they decided it was time to clean up. “Let’s go back to my house,” said Gus. “We can wash off in the tub!” When they got to Gus's house, his mom chuckled at the sight of the muddy friends. “Oh my! What happened to you three?” “We had the best fun in the puddle!” Gus exclaimed, grinning. His mom smiled and filled the tub with warm water. “Alright, muddy buddies, it’s bath time!” After their bath, Gus, Bud, and Pup sat together on the porch, drying off in the sun. “That was the best day ever!” Bud said. “Let’s do it again tomorrow!” Gus replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement. Every year, she went to the temple to pray. Page 2 One day, with tears in her eyes, Hannah prayed, “Lord, if You give me a son, I will give him back to You to serve You all his life.” Page 3 The priest, Eli, saw Hannah praying and said, “May God grant your request.” Hannah believed in God’s promise and left the temple full of hope. Page 4 God answered Hannah’s prayer! She gave birth to a baby boy and named him Samuel, which means “God has heard.” She loved him dearly. Page 5 When Samuel was old enough, Hannah kept her promise. She brought him to the temple and said to Eli, “God has blessed me with a son, and now I give him back to serve the Lord.” Page 6 Samuel grew up in the temple, learning from Eli. One night, he heard a voice calling, “Samuel! Samuel!” He thought Eli was calling him, but Eli said, “I did not call you. Go back to sleep.” Page 7 The voice called again, and again Samuel ran to Eli. But Eli realized it was God speaking to Samuel! He told Samuel, “Say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’” Page 8 Samuel listened, and God spoke to him. From that night on, Samuel became a great prophet, guiding Israel and teaching them to follow God. Page 9 Hannah’s faith and promise led to Samuel becoming one of the greatest leaders of Israel. Mom doesnt have money to buy a new bed so they have to make one themsleves and be creative. 9. Flora wants a new phone but they cant afford one so mom and flora make one of their own. 10. Flora enjoys the dance in her amazing dress. 11. Flora is gradually getting older throughout the story. When she makes the bed and shoes she is in elementary school. When she makes the phone she is in middle school. When she makes the dress she is in highschool. 12. Floras mom finally has money and is super happy but flora doesnt want to use the money because she fell in love with creative and making stuff instead of just buying stuff.

But one afternoon, as she played near the edge of the field, she spotted a bright red flower in the distance. “I’ll be right back!” she yelled to her friends as she sprinted toward it. But the more she walked, the more distant the flower became. Soon, Lily glanced around and realized that she was lost. The tall trees seemed to close in around her, and she could no longer see her home. Lily began to cry. “Shepherd! Where are you?” she called but did not receive an answer. Then she heard a familiar voice in the distance. It was the Good Shepherd, calling her name! “Lily! Where are you?” “I’m here!” she cried, her little heart filled with hope. The Shepherd rushed to her side, cradling her in His arms. “You just wandered away, my child,” He smiled. “But I have found you, and I am taking you home.” Lily cuddled up close to feel safe and loved. When they came back to the meadow, all her friends cheered. The Shepherd smiled and replied, “I will never stop looking for my lost sheep and bringing them back home.” So from that day forward, Lily, among the flock with the Shepherd, knew He would always love and protect her. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” —Psalm 23:1
